I'll attach a zip file with everything needed at the end so it is not necessary to read the forums that I'll mention soon. To decrypt these files, the extension had a simple independent executable called 'Log Viewer.exe'. Explains that with the command line it's possible to decrypt the files and saving them into a seperate and easily readable HTML, but only one file at a time. It worked for me with the executable placed in the same directory as my chat logs and entering in the cmd: 'Log Viewer.exe' /encrypt='month year contact.ple' /pwd='my password' As the example suggests, these logs are separated by contact and by month so that's a lot of files and time even when using Tab to speed things up. In archived some guy did exactly what I'm looking for, but it didn't work for me because the script couldn't recognize my Messenger Plus!
Nowadays, Msg Plus! Is a Skype extension, so I installed Skype and the extension but it still didn't recognize it. I don't know anything about coding, so if it isn't too much of a hassle could someone please write a batch script that goes through the folders in its directory looking for.ple files and executing the command? I have uploaded a zip file (I deleted the link as this got no answer and it had some personal info) containing: • 'Log Viewer.exe', also found and in the installation directory of Msg Plus! (I do not recommend to do this) • 'DecryptAll.bat', the mentioned script that does exactly what I need but doesn't work. It may be useful to get some code from it I guess. • Small sample of chat logs to decrypt in their respective folders and some already decrypted logs inside 'Abril 2009'.
